music: africa by toto (this song evokes images of sunrise near mt. kilimanjaro for some reason, on a semi-related subject…i had a dream once, a very vivid dream, that i am living in africa…like some exiled british person.)
reading: frankenstein by mary shelley (yes doggedly sticking by it)
[didnt go home last thu & fri, so i decided to work on some “filler” drawings]
Gandalf the White (done, will have it scanned when i get home)
Swann & Sparrow (the Han & Leia of recent times) – im really enjoying this one. A late *bleagh* V-day offering.
and if i’m lucky on sunday (tomorrow) i’ll be able to go home and thus work on another “landmark” piece (Amidala SWIII), im experimenting on various styles at the moment, hence the “schizo” gallery.
and didn’t you notice the NEW *eherm* banner? 😀 i’ll try to update my banners from time to time (and maybe a monthly calendar too)
…It’s gonna take a lot to drag me away from you
There’s nothing that a hundred men or more could ever do
I bless the rains down in Africa
Gonna take some time to do the things we never had….
oh, and as for Genji: A tale of the Wandering Samurai:
Finally, first part of the first chapter almost done (a chapter should contain five entries/letters)…and the illustration is a bit Kabuki-esque with a touch of Gaiman, plus my own style of course (although it’s not really a comic book in the “traditional sense”.) I’m in the process of editing the first “letter” (gets too “wordy” sometimes). Im really enjoying this story, that’s why i carry the draft with me wherever I go. 🙂
