on “hollowed” grounds

still on the subject of “Deathly Hollows”. I went early (about 7am yesteday) to get my reserved copy. i found the whole thing quite impossible to put down (i slept for about an hour only), i made it till “Goblin’s Revenge” before i was unceremoniously carted off to work! JKR’s pulling all the stops here. A death of a MAJOR character on the third chapter! (i won’t mention it.yet. dont want to ruin the surprise). Some really bizzarre occurances (like who replaced dumbledore as headmaster…merlin’s pants, indeed!), the wizarding world has gone mad. We know more about the greatest wizard in the world (even he had a few dark secrets – although like harry im still not quite sure w/c of the rumours are true…damn that rita skeeter)…..

on another HP matter…it’s HOW TO SAVE A LIFE AGAIN (ever wonder how universal this song is)….now and then i see something good at YT.

this video captures all the things that made the book (the movie…a bit) so endearing. friendship, sacrifice and all that. :)

have to get back to hollows…now…ciao!

potter book 7

I consider myself a “moderate” Harry Potter fan. I can tell you Dumbledore’s complete name, but I don’t know (nor care to memorize) every single student that was ever mentioned in the book (except maybe for the major – moderately minor characters). I have the complete selection of HP books from 1-6, with the occasional poster from time to time, but I do not bother myself with other paraphernalias like “action figures” (don’t see the point), stickers – well maybe i have a couple of them- i have no idea where they are at the moment,) magazines (a couple, but not every other mag w/c featured HP), “hogwarts robes” (I do not see the point of owning “hermione’s” or “harry’s” wand either!) – although  I’d probably cosplay as one of the characters (some anonymous hogwarts student, no doubt). My imagination is sufficient enough.

Whatever, I am very much excited about Book 7: HP & the Deathly Hollows. If I could just drag the days to July 21! I made the reservation last June 29 (went directly to a Scholastic dealer – the reservation rates were much lower, only 300PHP, comes with a  free hard bound copy of book 6, too!) I just wanted to see how the series wraps up. I do not wish to agitate myself with the “rumored” deaths of major characters (my guess is Lupin and/or Snape – no rational explanation- just a feeling, though). As for Harry dying, i like to keep my fingers crossed to that. :)
